Should You See It?
Those who have been following Wonka’s progress were already aware that this project would reunite Paul King, director and writer of the first two Paddington films, and Simon Farnaby, who co-wrote Paddington 2 with King.
Wonka, it turns out, will be much more of a Paddington reunion than thought, with Tom Davis and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith joining Sally Hawkins, who played Mary Brown in both Paddington films, with Farnaby also appearing onscreen.
The prequel’s idea was also revealed by Warner Bros, who described it as a study of the “vivid, mythological beginnings of the brilliant young inventor before he becomes the famed scrumdiddlyumptious Mozart of chocolate.”
