Gallery Go: the new lightweight version of Google Photos
Google recently announced the launched of a new lightweight or should we say a lighter version of Google Photos. This was announced in Nigeria alongside a new Android Go device, the itel S15 and select A55.
The Global Search engine giant added this light weight application “Gallery Go” to its library of Go applications. Other Google light weight applications that will interest you are Google Go, YouTube Go, Gmail Go etc.

Gallery Go is less than 10mb in size, it possesses features such as
- Offline utility (it can be used without internet connection)
- Less Data Consumption (both offline and online usage)
- Automatic Organisation of images. According to Google the application has the capability of sorting and automatically organising your photos into various categories such as people, selfies, nature, animals, documents, videos and movies.
- Gallery Go has an auto-enhance feature for your photos and a whole lot of other photo editing tools although not as feature-rich as Google photos itself but it is readily easy to use.
While the app is available worldwide, some features such as organizing photos by people aren’t available in all countries. Gallery Go is available to download on the Google Play store for both Existing Regular Android users and Android Go devices running Android 8.1 (Oreo) or higher.
